Requests that do not identify a specific account or that seek indiscriminate “all users” data will generally be rejected as overbroad.
If there is an imminent risk of death or serious physical injury, contact us immediately at support@socialcentral.net with subject line EMERGENCY LAW ENFORCEMENT REQUEST, and include:
We may disclose limited information in good faith to prevent or respond to an emergency, consistent with applicable law. Non-emergency requests must use formal legal process.
Agencies may request that we preserve existing account records pending service of legal process. Send preservation requests to the same email with subject line PRESERVATION REQUEST, identifying the account and the period to preserve. Preservation does not by itself authorize disclosure.
Depending on the account and retention, records may include account registration details, profile information, IP / device logs, subscription status, and user-generated content (messages, tags, photos) as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not store full payment card numbers; card payments are handled by processors such as Stripe, Apple, or PayPal.
Where permitted by law, we may seek reimbursement of reasonable costs incurred in responding to legal process.
Social Central is based in Massachusetts, USA. Non-U.S. authorities should generally proceed through appropriate mutual legal assistance treaty (MLAT) or other lawful channels recognized under U.S. law, unless another lawful basis applies.
We prohibit child sexual exploitation and abuse material. We may report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or other appropriate authorities, and cooperate with follow-up legal process, consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy and applicable law.
