Social Central – Profile Verification at Registration
Effective Date: 2026-07-17 · Registration and required-profile controls
Social Central requires account and profile verification steps before a new user
can fully use the Service. These controls reduce fake accounts, underage access,
and non-person / impersonation profiles. Related rules live in the
Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Account Registration Controls
- Signup gate — New account creation can be disabled platform-wide when needed.
- Email validation — Signup requires a valid email address format.
- Bot / automation check — Signup and login flows use ALTCHA (proof-of-work / challenge) to reduce automated registrations.
- Email ownership verification — New accounts start in a pending-activation state. We email a one-time activation code; the account is not activated until that code is confirmed.
- Password requirement — Signup requires a password meeting our minimum length rules.
2. Required Profile Completion (Before Full Use)
After email activation, the account is not treated as a complete profile until
required fields and a primary photo are provided. Incomplete profiles are forced
through a required-profile completion flow and cannot skip these gates for normal use.
- Required identity fields: first name, sex/gender, age, and country
- Required primary profile photo — a profile picture must be set
- 18+ age policy — Service is limited to adults 18 years or older; users under 18 are not permitted; underage accounts are terminated (see AUP)
- Terms / AUP acceptance — Users must accept Terms / AUP to use the Service; age-related agreement records are supported in our account agreement APIs
3. Profile Photo / Face Controls
- AUP requires the primary profile image to prominently display the user’s entire face (forehead, eyes, nose, mouth, chin, cheeks, ears).
- When a user sets a main picture, the product asks them to confirm the picture is their face (“Your main picture MUST be your face”).
- AI-generated / synthetic media and impersonation / stolen photos are prohibited.
- Nudity and sexually explicit profile media are prohibited.
- Users and staff can report fake or non-compliant profiles; repeated reports can trigger automatic ban (five unique reporters within five days).
4. Ongoing Integrity (Post-Registration)
- Banned / disabled account status is checked at login.
- Ban evasion via new accounts is prohibited and flagged.
- VPN / geographic access controls apply where configured.

Prevention Protocols.
5. What We Do Not Claim
Social Central does not currently require government-issued ID document
upload or third-party biometric KYC at signup. Profile verification is based on
email ownership, required profile attributes, face-photo attestation and policy,
bot controls, and ongoing abuse reporting / enforcement.
